The Boys & Girls Club Aspiring Filmmakers Festival (BGCAFF), was created to showcase films by young filmmakers (21 and under) from across the country. The festival is designed to promote the making of films by youth, especially youth who traditionally do not have the resources to explore filmmaking. |

BGCAFF is committed to helping youth learn and develop their talent in filmmaking and allow their voice to be expressed in film. |

 |

1. The festival will showcase young filmmakers from across the country. This juried festival will allow young filmmakers the opportunity to gain insight and feedback about their films.
2. The festival will also provide programs and workshops on filmmaking so that young filmmakers may learn from professionals in the industry. |

Red Stick Animation Festival has been instrumental in helping BGCAFF. All youth animated films will also be showcased within the Red Stick Animation Festival. Red Stick and BGCAFF are coordinating schedules and events. BGCAFF will be held Sunday, April 26, 2009, following the Red Stick Animation Festival (April 22-25).
The creativity and voices of our young filmmakers should be nurtured, honored and heard. Their stories can inspire and challenge us to change our communities and ourselves. |
